The Hi Rock Inn is located in Elkford British Columbia, Canada. Elkford is a remote but beautiful alpine village situated on the highest range of the Canadian Rockies, known as the Elk Valley. The average elevation of the Elk Valley is 1800m. Two layers of blankets are required, even in mid-summer to sleep comfortably at night.

Elkford is hidden deep in the Elk Valley, at the very end of Hwy 43. It is 35km north of Sparwood, 67km from Fernie, 53km from the Alberta border, and 97km from the US border to Montana.

The road ends and the stream starts in Elkford! There are no roads through Elkford. The only way back to civilization is to turn your vehicle around. Fish come to Elkford to spawn and the Grizzly bears nestle in the deep snow of the valley to hibernate. Average snowfall for Elkford is nine meters, making it a haven for snowmobilers in the winter.

Hi Rock Inn is situated a step away from the village on a peaceful cul-de-sac away from traffic, and uniquely quiet, yet close enough to the town that a 3 or 4 minute walk will allow you to enjoy all the amenities the village has to offer. You can look down the soul-soothing mountain valley in the evening sun after a long journey, or experience lively vigor twitching in your body in the alpine crisp air as you look out in the morning from our open balcony with the silvery-grey mist shifting mysteriously over the pristine forest along the crystal blue Elk River.

An open field and a ravine surround Hi Rock Inn so you can enjoy a morning walk after a good night sleep. During your walk, you may encounter mother deer grazing with their newborn fawns in serenity. Children can bike freely or play in the backyard. When the day draws to a close, if exhaustion has not set in, you can go fishing in the nearby Elk River, a mere 200 meters away.

Hi Rock Inn is adjacent to a baseball park and a beautifully maintained 9-hole golf course. The Hi Rock Inn is a perfect place for families, seniors, or anyone who enjoys the serenity nature provides.
